The project responded to major seasonal flooding on Director Street, as well as a need to activate a remnant corner of Marra Farms, a community garden area to the southwest. A bioswale was designed to capture street and farm stormwater runoff, featuring water-loving plants in a high-capacity bioswale, and an access bridge and parking area to welcome community members. The result: a drivable street during the rainy months, and a natural and beautiful bioswale to further define Marra Farms. With JA Brennan.
